Feb 24 : Eight volunteers have left today from Targu Mures,Romania to Nepal for humanitarian action. They plan to set up three medical centers in Nepal to help Nepalese people. The mission is led by Dr. Roland Hermann with a team of doctors, nurses, a notary public and a communicator.
NRNA Romanian NCC President Nawa-Raj Pokharel wishes a very pleasant stay in Nepal and on behalf of NRNA Romania NCC highly appreciates this kind of action to provide humanitarian assistance in Nepal by the Romanian people.

'The mission is a short period medical project FORMS for 30-40 days, which involves providing free services in areas where the population is unable to access medical services, health professionals lack the background, geographical isolation or other causes that prevent the development of a health system, "said Dr. Roland Hermann.
According to Dr. Hermann, medical expedition will take place from 24 February to 23 March 2011 and aims to contribute to solving health problems of people in Solukhumbu region of Nepal, in the corresponding locality Phaplu, which has a population of 4500-5000 inhabitants.
He said that the Romanian medical team's actions will take place on two planes, and one of them is to identify and treat cases of emergency and chronic occasion, Romanian doctors will provide necessary medicines and its inhabitants will make interventions small surgery, including dental.
The second plan is initiating an educational program that provides practical and essential information about improving health and preventing diseases.
'All medical services are available to residents free of charge and the expenses of the members of the expeditionary travel and accommodation will be paid by themselves. For a period of 30 days, a team member needs 2,000 euros, of which ticket represents about half. Romanian medical humanitarian mission in Nepal will open three offices, one for men, one for women and one dentist, "said Dr. Roland Hermann.
According to him, common diseases in Nepal are diseases associated with lack of hygiene related diseases such as food, and various accidents. The objective of the team members is proposed to solve the medical problems of more than 500 people and implement a life that even in poor living conditions may help beneficial effects on health.
The team will carry out medical humanitarian expedition in Nepal are : Roland Hermann, dentist, Dr. Delia Nica Juncu and Elijah, both doctors specialized in general medicine, and Ferenc Szasz Robert Ilyes, nurses, Lăcrămioara Osoianu, notary public, and Alina Aldea, project afterschool club and donations.
Since 2005, Dr. Roland Hermann in Tirgu Mures has led similar expeditions British Guyana, Chad, Brazil, Bolivia and Nepal.
