Just before few Months the contribution of Nepalese People was able to win Anuradha Koirala as CNN Hero 2010. Now its time for us again to help our one of the dedicated women who want to develop public awareness about Cervical Cancer in Nepal. She is Pabitra Sapkota, your each vote will count for her to win $5000 which she will spend for 1000 Nepalese Women Screen Cervical Cancer. Lets read about her plan :-

"My dream is to help 1000 rural women in western Nepal to get cervical cancer screening and reproductive health check-up for free. Cervical cancer is the number one cancer in women in Nepal. Many cervical cancer patients come to medical attention only at the later stages, where hope of survival is very low. The preventive measures of cervical cancer are well established in developed countries; however, poverty, ignorance and lack of quality health care in women in remote Nepal devoid them from the opportunity to screen cervical cancer at early stages. Many illiterate women in this region do not know about PAP smear and ways to prevent cervical cancer. To achieve my dream of helping these 1000 rural Nepalese women, I have collaborated with Voice Against Cancer, a New Mexico State University student organization in USA and District health office in Myagdi, Nepal to conduct several cervical cancer screening camps. While the Voice Against Cancer will promote my cause, the physicians team at district hospital in Myagdi will be my operational partner to conduct cervical cancer and reproductive health screening camps in Dhaulagiri zone; which includes four districts and inhabit more than a million people. Your vote will support more than 1000 women in remote Nepal to get PAP smear and reproductive health check-up for free. Additionally, women with invasive cervical cancer are detected earlier so that necessary measures can be done in advance. When you vote, you vote to save many Nepalese women by detecting cancer at the earlier age. I am of the opinion that your single vote makes a great contribution towards transforming the health of these hundreds of Nepalese women.
